June marks Pride Month and Fullscreen is kicking it into high gear by announcing they will be launching even more original LGBTQ+ content to mark the event, including the first stand-up comedy special centered around the LGBTQ+ experience.
The lineup includes Season 2 of the short docuseries “Hella Gay with Miles McKenna.” The 9-episode season will premiere June 1st with a new episode dropping every Thursday. This season will have McKenna looking into the world of hip-hop with openly gay rapper Cakes da Killa, sitting down with identical transgender twins Ash and MK Kelly to talk about growing up trans in the conservative Midwest, and embracing your identity through a LGBTQ+ lens.
Next up, Fullscreen will be teaming up with Drag Queen Willam Belli for a new call-in show dubbed “Suck Less” (also the title of Belli’s 2016 book). Get prepared for special guests to drop in throughout the 13-episode season and learn all the ways to absolutely slay in the game of life.
Rounding out their new offerings, Fullscreen is bringing us comedian Rachel Scanlon, who will be headlining their first-ever stand-up comedy special. The half-hour special, “Rachel Scanlon is Hot and Hungry,” will premiere June 16th and is set to be taped live in Burbank at the Flappers Comedy Club.
Throughout the month of June, Fullscreen will also be featuring additional LGBTQ+ Pride programming by streaming a dozen of films and series including “How Gay Is Pakistan?”, “Eastsiders”, and “Teenage & Gay.”
