In a movie theater, we are all created equal.
Apparently, no one gave James Charles the memo, and he paid quite a hefty price by being dragged on Twitter. If you know any YouTuber, you’d know it’s pretty hard to get them off of their phone, but proper theater etiquette teaches us at a young age that you’re there to watch a movie, not check how many likes your IG selfie has gotten.
James Charles threw caution to the wind, and decided to begin live-tweeting a screening of the movie “It” (which if you haven’t seen it yet, why not?) accompanied with this tweet:
“Ok 5 mins in and IT is already awful stay tuned for updates.”
The tweet has since been deleted, but not before “Stranger Things” actor and IT star Finn Wolfhard decided to put in his two cents.
Why are you on your phone in the movie theater? Rule 1. https://t.co/Z2rm2phkbI

Fans loved the dragging, and decided to join in.

We’ll give credit where it’s due, and after James deleted his original tweet, he put on his big boy pants to acknowledge the situation.
I just got dragged by a legendary child actor I'm kinda honored https://t.co/mY1TkiHkML

He also admitted that he did end up enjoying the film. But a day later, James was feeling like the dragging moment wasn’t going away fast enough, so he deflected to
can people please shut up about using your phone during a movie? there are more important things to worry about like, idk, the world ending

Nice one James.
We’re hoping that was the last time James ever gets the temptation to live-tweet during a film.
