Come on LiAngelo, you’re supposed to be a baller.
ESPN has reported that LiAngelo Ball, member of the Baller Family (obviously) along with other teammates have been accused of shoplifting in Hangzhou, China where the team is scheduled to play.
In fact, LiAngelo and his two other teammates were arrested. The players are being questioned about stealing from a Louis Vuitton store; well, go big or go home right?
UCLA released their statement on the situation: We are aware of a situation involving UCLA student-athletes in Hangzhou, China. The University is cooperating fully with local authorities on this matter, and we have no further comment at this time.”
Sources say that nearly 20 police officers came to their hotel around 8 AM local time and spoke to players from both teams. The players weren’t allowed to speak to any coaches and were kept in a room for hours.
We’re hoping this isn’t true, because LiAngelo really has no reason to commit such a crime. It was determined during questioning that players from Georgia Tech were not involved in the incident.
Both teams are scheduled to visit Shanghai Disney Resort on Wednesday.
