NASA’s Got A Playlist Full Of Eerie Space Noises

In case you weren’t clued in yet, NASA has a poppin’ SoundCloud.

The agency has 107k followers of their account, tuning in to hear their collection of sounds from historic spaceflights and past and present missions. You can even set up your phone to play their clip of  “Houston, we’ve had a problem” whenever your boss calls.

Now they’ve released a next level playlist, Spooky Sounds From Across The Solar System, and that title perfectly describes what you’ll hear when you listen to these 22 tracks – it’s unworldly eerie. They are able to capture these sounds thanks to select spacecraft equipped with instruments that are able to record radio emissions, which are later converted to the sound waves featured in this playlist.
