In a little over a week, the Force will awaken once more with the release of Star Wars: Battlefront 2, building on the resounding success of its predecessor.
The hype for more multiplayer mayhem with the big names of Star Wars canon is eminently real. However, the trial version has already been released and includes the single-player campaign! It goes in a direction that Star Wars games do not often explore. Players will follow the story of Iden Versio, Imperial commando, as she fights to preserve the Empire, even after the destruction of the second Death Star at the end of Episode VI. YouTuber TheRadBrad has been taking us through it. So far his opinion has been highly positive!
Will you be one with the Force come November 17th? There’s more free content on the way to promote the premiere of The Last Jedi in December, although if you’re anything like us you won’t need the reminder. Finn and Commander Phasma will be released as playable characters, with new maps from the movie and additional quests and content in the build up to the big day. Seems like EA are paying for all of this free seasonal content with microtransactions in the multiplayer mode. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out!
