If you don’t remember how popular Vine used to be, just think about Andrew B. Bachelor…still not ringing a bell? Maybe his alias will ring a bell: King Bach. The comedic superstar had 16.2 million followers on Vine, the most of any Vine stars. Pretty impressive right? Vine had an estimated 40 million viewers, and King Bach had 16 million of those fans watching his comedic chops on a day to day basis.
But like all things that seem too good to be true, Vine disappeared into social media heaven.
So what did King Bach do?
Well, Bach wasn’t going to let the end of Vine become the end of King Bach. Bach launched BachelorsPadTv, his YouTube channel, and has been covered by a ton of online publications. All that growing popularity landed him recurring roles on TV: Wild N’ Out, The Mindy Project, House of Lies, as well as a role in Adult Swim’s Black Jesus.
King Bach made a successful jump from Vine to YouTube, and now to TV! Looks like Mr. Bachelor is doing pretty well for someone who could have easily faded out after Vine, but we’re glad to have him!
