Bae Of The Day: Lux

Lux - @luxiboo

Lux is an international dancer and the author of the Mother’s Milk Cookbook.

If you could be anyone for a day (dead or alive) who would it be and why?

“I’d be Andrew Zimmern from the show Bizarre Foods. I would love to travel the world like he does, but I’d like to tweak some of the things that man eats on the show. Other than that, I’m a pretty adventurous eater!”

When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?!

“I wanted to be a figure skater or a dancer. I did do figure skating until I was 15 years old, professional dancing stuck with me since 7 years old, so guess you could say I achieved my childhood dreams.”

What’s one thing you are super passionate about, that most people don’t know?

“I’m very passionate about volunteering with disabled children. Children with Down Syndrome are my favorite, they’re especially curious and I love doing outdoor activities with them. I was a big sister mentor to a young kid named Kenny for years, it’s a very special part of my private life.”

What’s one thing you learned from writing your cookbook “Mothers Milk Cookbook”?

“That self-publishing is a long process. Like anything worthwhile, hard work and patience are needed, and publishing MMC took a little over 2 years!”

What are you currently working on? What’s next?

“Right now I’m working on an international dance tour in Asia & Dubai with a new partner who is a world salsa champion, as well as co-producing a Coachella-style music festival in Dubai later this year. A lot of new learning experiences this year!”
