There’s nothing like finding some creative inspiration, right?
Brandi Marie King just killed the game with her newest video where she used Cardi B and Bruno Mars’ newest Finesse (remix) collab to help inspire her first dance video of 2018!
Everyone flipped when the Finesse video was first released, not only cause of the epic collaboration between both artists, but because of the In Living Color throwback that was present throughout every second of it. Obviously, Brandi was among those swept away by the video and she gave us the scoop on her own take of it!
Brandi tells us that this is her first video of the year and technically her first dance video - not that you’d be able to tell from the amazing moves she showcases! She loves Bruno and loves In Living Color…so what better way to kick off the new year? We couldn’t agree more.
Brandi, who starts off the video watching an old episode of In Living Color, gets transported into her own version of an episode when Bruno Mars calls her, effectively making the entire thing a literal dream come true. We get to watch some great choreography with Brandi and her friend Jon before she jumps to a scene with In Living Color’s fly girls - played by fellow influencers Denise Garcia and Leli Hernandez. The whole ensemble is amazingly talented and mesmerizing to watch.
We love that she was able to include her fellow influencers, including Jon Rabon. Brandi shared with us that she and Jon go way back - all the way back to the 7th grade! They’ve been dancing together for years, so it was a no-brainer for her to include him in Dripping In Color. He’s a professional dancer himself. His resume is super impressive - he’s been Justin Bieber’s core dancer, as well as danced alongside Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and many other super talented musicians. Watching Brandi’s video, we think his dancing talent more than speaks for itself!
The video ends with her getting transported back to her couch, confused about what just happened. Was it real or was it a dream? Seemingly, it was a hell of a vivid dream, until she touches her ear and realizes there’s a big gold hoop earring there. Definitely not a dream!
