Dwyane Wade’s NBA career is getting closer and closer to coming to an end. Tonight he will play his final regular season home game with the Miami Heat.
Miami is where Dwyane’s career all began and 16 years later he’s NBA story will end where it all started. Throughout his final games, Dwyane has picked up the tradition of swapping jerseys with players across the league.

To commemorate his upcoming retirement Budweiser planned a “jersey-swap” bringing Dwyane face-to-face with his mom and fans in an emotional celebratory video.
The 4-minute tribute highlights some of Dwyane’s biggest supporters who, instead of swapping jerseys gave items to Dwyane that tell the story of how he impacted their lives.
There were quite a few tearjerker moments, one being when Dwyane’s mom Jolinda Wade surprised him and the other when Andrea Oliver, sister of Parkland victim Joaquin Oliver shared her story.
In response to the video Dwayne said, “Throughout the year, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on my basketball career and thank so many teammates, coaches and mentors who have impacted me on the court. Thanks to Budweiser for reminding me that my connection to people is bigger than basketball. While my basketball career is coming to a close in the coming days, my relationship with my fans will only continue to grow,”
The Budweiser video will air before tip-off and during halftime at tonight’s game in Miami, while a 90-second clip will also show on Fox Sports Sun throughout the week. You can check out the sentimental piece out now on YouTube.
