Cazzie David is the millennial daughter of comedian Larry David of “Seinfeld” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” fame, and surprise she loves to make people feel awkward. Just in case you missed the Curb craze, here’s an intro to Larry David for you:
Until now, Cazzie has only made the news for being a “rich kid of Instagram.” People have lusted for her life on what they assume is easy street, especially after she started dating SNL’s adorable Pete Davidson.
That said, choosing to follow in the footsteps of her father (only the creator of the greatest sitcom of all time) and to put out an awkwardly funny web series in the same vein as Curb is one bold and cocky move. But we have to say, Cazzie has a very distinct voice, and this is likely going to pay-off huge dividends for her.
Eighty-Sixed is a very simple set-up. It’s a broken-hearted girl trying to get over being dumped the best way any millennial knows how– by making her life look great on social media. In Cazzie’s words, “I’m trying to curate an image of me not caring.”
To give you the heightened sense of awk, we give you episode 3… the most awkward of the series so far. All we have to say is “fingering” and it’s worth watching.
This series is refreshing yet familiar, strange, and wins more awkward awards than Curb, probably because Cazzie’s a hot young women, who knows how to use shock humor to her advantage. I mean, she learned from the best. We give this series 10 out 10 Likes. Curate the hell out of your life, girl.
