Of all the talk show hosts, we honestly can’t think of a better recipient.
Ellen DeGeneres just made YouTube history in becoming the very first talk show host to pass 10 billion views! In perspective, that’s simply a lot of fucking views. Ellen’s YouTube channel, TheEllenShow, amasses 20 million subscribers and is the 16th most viewed YouTube channel. It’s no wonder she’s the first to do it.
Plus, whoever is casting Ellen’s guests is doing a ridiculously good job. Ellen’s guests are often featured viral video stars, which shows YouTube just how in the know Ellen really is.
Being millennials, we can appreciate that.
On top of that, Ellen also launched an original YouTube series called Ellen’s Show Me More Show for all those viewers who can’t get enough Ellen. Our next best guess as to who may follow in her footsteps is Jimmy Fallon, whose late night show is easily one of the most relatable talk shows on television right now. But we wouldn’t be surprised if funny man Jimmy Kimmel came out of nowhere and jumped over Fallon. It’s really anyone’s game.
Talk show hosts are killing the game right now on YouTube. The news for Ellen is also a pretty solid omen of good things to come for all talk show hosts!
Congrats Ellen! Here’s to 10 billion more!
