Markiplier raises half a million dollars for charity in less than 24 hours.
The gamer is no stranger to raising huge sums of money for great causes and this time was no different. Mark live streamed on Youtube to try and raise money for a homeless youth charity ‘My Friend’s Place.’
THE MARATHON CHARITY STREAM IS OVER!! Thank you everyone who stopped by, we ended up raising $500,000 in 24 hours! HUGE thanks to everyone who contributed and was a part of my slow descent into madness!

“A nonprofit resource centre in Hollywood offering a comprehensive continuum of care for homeless youth, helping 1,400 young people each year.”
As to why Mark wanted to help ‘My Friend’s Place’ he stated, “I hate the idea that there are kids out there that don’t have opportunities. “Growing up, I had a roof over my head, I had a dad that fed us — I want everyone to have a chance at that. It’s about giving people a chance.”
Mark was joined by fellow creator and gamer Jacksepticeye, who did a takeover during the 24-hour stream, in order to give Mark a very needed break. lol
Think it goes without saying the charity was very grateful!
