The NBA Is Getting Lit On Social Media Thanks To LaVar Ball

If you aren’t familiar with how lit sports social media game has been, allow us to refresh your memory.

As of late, the sports world has been socially active in the best way. Let’s take a look at some highlights:

1. Lonzo Ball…but really, his father LaVar Ball.

2. Isaiah Thomas is literally social media gold.

Literally, we can’t stop writing about him.

3. Men on Twitter weren’t showing Zeke any love.

4. Martellus Bennett is just doing wonderful work…and we don’t mean football.

Lonzo Ball is officially a Los Angeles Laker, and fans are expecting some big time play. Thanks to Lonzo’s dad, the Lakers may have a rivalry before the season even starts. During the NBA Draft, LaVar told ESPN he thinks the Lakers are going to be a playoff team now that Lonzo is on the roster. Lakers head coach Luke Walton downplayed the comment, but in LaVar’s world, you should speak things into existence…and keep speaking.

Then Sixers rookie Ben Simmons stepped in via Twitter. Like we said, social media LIT.

Not long after Simmons tweeted, his outspoken teammate Joel Embiid was very clear about his feelings regarding LaVar and Lonzo for that matter.

But wait, we’re just getting started.

LaVar responded to these tweets while he was on a radio interview:

These guys ain’t played a game, always hurt, and at the bottom of the totem pole. So guess what? Get your asses off the goddamn Twitter, and get in the gym.

Embiid got off Twitter alright, but only to hop on Instagram. During a live session, someone asked him about LaVar. In three simple words, Embiid told us exactly how he felt.

And this is the part where NBA fans go wild:

We can’t wait to see what the sports world gives us next.
