We know that slime has been all the rage for a little while now, but this Texas based artist just took the aesthetic of it to a whole new level.
Dan Lam, or as she goes by on Instagram @sopopomo, combines the look of slime with bright, eye catching colors and spikes to create melting sculptures designed to give off a trippy and almost illusion filled effect.
Her art reminds us of what it would look like if the mother in Beetlejuice actually created things that we wanted in our own homes. The fluidity to her art makes us feel like it has the ability to literally slide around on it’s own free volition and we’re weirdly into it.
Honestly, we don’t quite know what it is about her work that is so visually appealing, but we don’t even care. All we know is that we want our desks and walls to drip with this spiked neon goodness for all eternity.
Dan Lam has an exhibit opening October 7th at Spoke Art where some of her work will be featured. If anyone happens to be in San Fransisco during this time, make sure to check it out and let us know if it’s just as cool in person as we think it is.
