It seems only yesterday we were posting about a social media influencer using a racial slur, but we’re bummed to be reporting about yet another incident within the YouTube community.
This time, PewDiePie is making headlines for dropping the N-word while playing a video game during a live stream.
PewDiePie has been a staple within the YouTube community since 2010, having grown his channel to over 57 million subscribers. He currently holds the record of the most subscribed user on YouTube, and his channel has had over 16 billion views. With such a huge reach, it’s really disappointing that he continues to employ such offensive vocabulary.
That’s right – he continues – that’s because this isn’t the first time he’s been in hot water for racial/cultural insensitivity. Earlier this year, he faced allegations of both anti-Semitism and racism. Those offenses cost him, though – Disney severed their ties with him and Fiverr banned him.
PewDiePie has said in the past that he doesn’t support any kind of hateful attitudes, but we have to wonder how much truth is in these words as this isn’t his first or even second offense.
Fans are understandably upset about his most recent offensive comment, but PewDiePie has yet to make a statement.
RT if you have never used the N-word while gaming, even in a “heated gaming moment”.
Like if you think PewDiePie is a racist poop person.

We’re filing a DMCA takedown of PewDiePie’s Firewatch content and any future Campo Santo games.

RT if unlike PewDiePie, you don’t start randomly screaming racial slurs while playing videogames.

Here’s hoping this is the last time we have to comment on an influencer dropping a racial slur!
