Remember The Mickey Mouse Club? It’s Coming Back In Digital Media Style!

Looks like nostalgia‘s becoming the newest media trend. We dig it.

In the wake of the recently created Disney Digital Network, the company has released what eight social media stars are set to headline the reboot of Club Mickey Mouse. The reboot is a Gen Z remake of the classic show that brought us talents you may or may not remember:

Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera…okay so you totally know who they are.

The show premiered this past Friday, and it’s the first class of Mouseketeers (guess that’s a thing again) who will dish out content every day over the next seven weeks ONLY on Facebook and Instagram.

Disney is certainly playing the social media card in the best of ways, only distributing this content over digital media. The show that would usually find a one-hour slot on television will only be available through posts on social media. That averages out to about 70 social media posts, shared every week.

So who are your new Mouseketeers? (that’s gonna take some getting used to)

Regan Aliyah, Jenna Alvarez, Ky Baldwin, Gabe De Guzman, Leanne Tessa Langston, Brianna Mazzola, Sean Oliu and Will Simmons.

The cast is anywhere from ages 15-18, and their social media game is at top peak, counting over thousands of followers on all social media platforms. These up and coming influencers are extremely talented: they all have musical interests, whether it be vocally, dance or instrumental.

If that doesn’t get you pumped, don’t worry. You can expect influencers we’ve come to know and love like Todrick Hall and Alisha Marie to join in from time to time as mentors.

Looks like a lot of fun! We’re looking forward to covering the cast of the new Mickey Mouse Club as they blossom into the new class of influencers!
