If you’ve been anxiously awaiting a teen version of Oceans Eleven, wait no longer as Coin Heist premieres tomorrow. The film tells the tale of four unlikely allies from a Philadelphia prep school - the hacker, the slacker, the athlete, and the perfect student who band together to attempt the impossible: steal from the U.S. Mint.
The movie is the brain child of young filmmaking protege Emily Hagins who made her first film at the ripe age of 12. The project marks her 5th filmmaking endeavor at the ripe old age of 24. Coin Heist is certainly Hagins’ most slick-looking offering, but it also looks as though she brings her indie, character-driven heart to the project as well.
With a dream team the includes heavy-hitters in the cast Coin Heist looks like a must-see.
