Our Bae All Day is the lovely Mikaela Hoover, a busy actress heating up the scene- she’s been in How I Met Your Mother, and Guardians of the Galaxy. She really digs funny guys and loves a good horror movie at home for a cozy night in. You can see Mikaela Hoover in various upcoming projects this year including Alexander IRL (out next week). What did you want to be when you grew up as a child?
I have always wanted to be an actress for as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are playing dress up and making my little brother watch my plays
What’s one thing you are super passionate about that most people don’t know about you?
I really love being outdoors in nature. I grew up in the country on a river and near a lake, so most of my favorite memories are outside. Camping was a big part of my childhood. I was in Colombia last year shooting and was able to travel to the jungle for 6 days. It was one of the happiest times of my life. I always say I want to live in the jungle in South America someday.
How did you get to where you are today?
My parents have always been very supportive of my desire to act but really stressed the importance of a good education. After high school I moved to Los Angeles to attend college and majored in theater. At college I was really able to study my craft.
What/who are two of your biggest influences?
My friends and family have influenced me a great deal. I have had the same 7 best girlfriends since I was a child and they inspire and always push me. They know my potential and never let me doubt myself.

(Here’s a silly one) Single or taken?! What’s your #1 turn off? What’s your number one turn on?

My number one turn off is if a guy is too needy. Im pretty independent so I find it really sexy when a guy is the same way. I’m really turned on by men who are comfortable in their own skin. Nothing is more attractive than a guy who is confident with himself but also doesn’t take himself too seriously. I’m also a sucker for funny guys.

You have an upcoming movie coming out called “Airplane Mode” written by the Paul Brothers! What was it like shooting that movie?! What’s one of your favorite memories from set?
That movie was such a fun experience. My dear friend Brittany suggested me for the role and I got to work with her which was awesome. I would have to say my favorite memory were some of scenes that Nick Swardson did. We had some funny scenes together and the directors let us improv and have fun
Alexander IRL drops January 11, congrats! Tell me a little bit about your character Ellie! What’s one of your favorite things about Ellie?
Ellie is a very strong no nonsense woman. What you see is what you get with her. I love how focused and career driven she is.
What’s next for Mikaela? What are some of your future plans or things you want to accomplish next?
I have a few more exciting things coming out in 2017! I also plan on taking another trip to South America this year
