The premise of Go90’s “Ready, Set, Style” could not be more simple. Three women are pitted against each other to create a style with a theme. Think: basic, boho, thrift store. They are then given three mystery items and a limited amount of time to create that style.
The contestants are then judged on creativity, originality, and who has the best style. This show is unabashedly about girls who love clothes and love to shop.
This show is basic. But, hey, it’s already survived iterations on Awesomeness and now Go90, so it’s clearly working for its target audience. That said, it’s hard for us to be entertained with a premise that is not offering anything new. We give the show five likes out of ten, but we get why some gals will love it.
