When you were a child did you know you wanted to be in the entertainment business? How did you get to where you are today?
“Yes, I did! I was the child that was always singing, dancing, and putting on performances for my parents and their friends. Well, my grandfather played a really big part in me getting started in the entertainment business. He was in a popular singing group from the 60’s called The 5th Dimension, and when I was 7, he introduced me to his acting agent who only represented adults. As a favor to my grandfather, he took me on as a client and I booked my first Disney job with him and I haven’t stopped since.”
You are a total multi-threat! You act, sing, model, and are an influencer. How do you balance it all, and do you have a stand out favorite thing to do/work on?
“Taking time out for myself away from my craft is very important for me and it defiantly keeps me sane. As of right now, I would say my favorite thing to work on would have to be my skill of creating. I’m new at writing, and it’s something that I really enjoy doing.”
Who are your top 5 biggest inspirations/role models?
“My mother is defiantly number one and the small circle of close women I keep around me inspire me all the time. We laugh we cry we encourage we support. We inspire each other.”
What’s one thing you are super passionate about that most people don’t know?
“I absolutely love arts and crafts. I’m always up to something and starting a new DIY project.”
Who’s your top three Snap stories to watch right now?
“I’m actually not even in to snap like that! So besides my friends, the only other story I watch is The Shade Room.”
Single or taken?! What’s your #1 turn off?
“I am single, but I do have my eyes on someone…. *insert creep stare.* Oh, but there are so many!! Hahahahahaha just kidding… kind of… But, a weak man FOR SURE!”
What’s one piece of advice you’d tell younger girls trying to get into the business?
“If this is really what you want to do, never give up. And create a really strong support group to help you through the tough times. Most importantly, never compromise yourself.”
What’s next for GG? What are some of your future plans or things you want to accomplish next?
Well, I wrote and shot a series this year that’s currently being edited and I’m really happy with how it’s coming together. I’m also completely and utterly obsessed with the show Once Upon A Time and would love to book a role on that show.
