Our gorgeous Bae all Day is Goldilox, a multi-talented DJ and model based in Paris, France.
When was the first type you touched a musical instrument or sang?! Did you always know you wanted to be an artist?
“I have been singing since I was talking. My first gig was when I was 5. It wasn’t anything impressive, in fact I tripped and fell on the stage then started crying. But I still sang! And even with the fall, I was sure being a singer was my destiny.”
You recently released your ep “Skin” what was one of your biggest inspirations behind the project?
“Pain. I had the worst year, or maybe two.. Fuck, maybe 3. One thing after another fell apart. It almost felt like a cruel joke. I was pretty depressed when I wrote a lot of the EP. I don’t know what I would have done without being able to write about it.”
If you weren’t doing music, what would you spend your time doing?
“Something artistic. I love to create and getting inspired is like a drug for me. I’m constantly looking to be inspired. So maybe a painter, a poet or a chef.”
What’s one thing you are super passionate about that most people don’t know?
“Old cars. My family business for generations was a junk yard. I’ve been around all sorts of cars since I can remember. I’m not necessarily a mechanic, but I have great taste in vintage vehicles. ”
Single or taken?! What’s your #1 turn off? What’s your number one turn on?
“Turn off: is thinking your shit don stink. I don’t like when people act like they’re cool kids in high school. It reminds me of high school and it was stupid then and it’s even more stupid now. Turn on: is confidence in being unique. I love people who dress weird, act weird and OWN IT. That’s the coolest. I try to surround myself with people like that.”
Name your top three music inspirations, dead or alive?
“I never have an answer for this because I’m not very loyal to any one particular artist or sound. I DJ, so I love getting lost online finding obscure shit that would probably bore you.”
Who’s your favorite Snapchat story to watch?!
“Right now.. My friend Greg Vardy! He’s a fuckin gem. And my other friend Blondtron. I actually used to be in a band with this rad woman.”
What’s next for Goldilox? What are some of your future plans or things you want to accomplish next?
“I just released an EP! I want to take a giant nap. But, I am writing EP 2 right now. It’s called Flesh.”
